Movie #7: Forrest Gump

Peace be upon you,

Since we don't have any class this evening , we required to go to threatre as there was  a session with Miss Jo. I was thinking ' what are we going to do? Isn't a serious thing? ' , We watched a movie entitled Forrest Gump. I believe you won't know the film as it was a classic and  had been released in 1994; before we were born. However, I pretty enjoyed it.

He lives with his mother who tells him that "stupid is as stupid does" On a bus for his first day of school, Forrest meets Jenny, with whom he immediately falls in love, and they become best friends. One day, while fleeing from bullies, Forrest's leg braces break apart and he discovers that he can run very fast. 

After graduating, Forrest enlists in the United States Army, where he befriends former shrimp fisherman Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue. They are sent to Vietnam, and while on patrol their platoon is ambushed. Forrest saves four of the men in his platoon, including Lieutenant Dan Taylor. While recovering from his injuries, Forrest meets Lieutenant Dan, who has had both of his legs amputated due to his injuries. He is furious at Forrest for leaving him a "cripple" and cheating him out of his destiny to die in battle.

Forrest is discharged from the military as a Sergeant and uses money from a ping pong endorsement to buy a shrimping boat, fulfilling his wartime promise to Bubba. Lieutenant Dan keeps his own promise and joins Forrest as first mate. Forrest returns home to care for his ailing mother, who dies soon afterwards. 

Jenny returns to visit Forrest and stays with him. He proposes but she turns him down. she quietly slips away the next morning. Distraught, Forrest decides to go for a run, which turns into a three-year coast-to-coast marathon. One day he stops his marathon suddenly and returns home, where he receives a letter from Jenny asking to meet. During his reunion with Jenny, Forrest discovers they have a young son, also named Forrest. He married Jenny. Eventually, Jenny dies of her illness. Forrest waits with Forrest Jr. for the bus to pick him up for his first day of school.

2. Never give up in your life even how hard it is. Feather as: "Our destiny is only defined by how we deal with the chance elements to our life. Here is this thing that can land anywhere and that it lands at your feet. "

3. Stop blaming other people on what was happening to you. Even you blame others, your life would not change because your destiny is in the palm of your hand. You are the one who decide to stand up and fly or look down and eventually fall.

Madam Zu used to say in the class the other day, "Everything happens for a reason". I am agree with her. He knows better :) . Yeah you should watch the movie because it is such an inspiring movie.
